A collaborative complete sight-read performance of the Latin choral works of William Byrd to raise money for the music fund at the Church of St Mary Magdalen, Oxford. Conducted by Will Dawes and Guests.
In a 24-hour period (5pm-midnight on Friday, 8am-5pm on Saturday), the choir of St Mary Magdalen Oxford and friends will sing the complete Latin works of William Byrd to help raise funds for the church's Music Fund. Conducted by Will Dawes (Stile Antico, Somerville College) and guests.
The singers draw from a pool of around 80 musicians from Oxford and beyond, including members of The Sixteen, the Cardinall's Musick, Stile Antico, Ensemble Pro Victoria, Tenebrae, and the directors of music at 10 Oxford Colleges.
Listeners are welcome to pop in and out at any point!
